1. Introduction

Welcome to Cyber School South Africa ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our online education platform and services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Cyber School is an online homeschool education provider offering CAPS-aligned curriculum and GED® preparation programs for students in South Africa and internationally.

2. Definitions

• "Student" refers to any individual enrolled in our educational programs.
• "Parent/Guardian" refers to the legal guardian responsible for a minor student.
• "Services" refers to all educational content, materials, assessments, and platform features provided by Cyber School.
• "Subscription" refers to the enrollment plan chosen (Basic, Standard, or Premium).

3. Enrollment and Registration

3.1. To enroll in Cyber School, parents/guardians must complete the enrollment application form and provide accurate information about the student.

3.2. Enrollment is subject to approval by Cyber School administration. We reserve the right to decline enrollment applications at our discretion.

3.3. Upon approval, students will receive login credentials to access the learning platform. These credentials are personal and must not be shared with others.

3.4. Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all information provided during enrollment and must notify us of any changes.

4. Subscription Plans and Fees

4.1. Cyber School offers three subscription tiers: Basic, Standard, and Premium. Each tier includes different features and services as detailed on our Fees page.

4.2. All fees are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise specified. International students may be quoted in US Dollars (USD).

4.3. A once-off registration fee is payable upon enrollment and is non-refundable.

4.4. Monthly tuition fees are due by the 2nd of each month, payable in advance.

4.5. Annual payment options are available with applicable discounts as advertised.

5. Payment Terms

5.1. All payments must be made via our secure online payment gateway (Stripe).

5.2. Invoices are generated monthly and uploaded to the parent portal for viewing and payment.

5.3. Failure to pay fees by the due date (2nd of the month) will result in automatic suspension of the student's access to the platform.

5.4. Access will be automatically restored upon receipt of payment.

5.5. Persistent non-payment may result in termination of enrollment.

6. Student Responsibilities

6.1. Students must engage with the curriculum according to the daily calendar guidance provided.

6.2. Students must complete assessments honestly and without assistance unless specifically permitted.

6.3. Students must attend scheduled live classes (Premium subscription) and participate appropriately.

6.4. Students must respect teachers, staff, and fellow students in all interactions.

6.5. Students must not share their login credentials or allow others to access their account.

7. Parent/Guardian Responsibilities

7.1. Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their child's education and ensuring regular engagement with the curriculum.

7.2. Parents/guardians must ensure timely payment of all fees.

7.3. Parents/guardians must maintain accurate contact information and respond to communications from Cyber School.

7.4. Parents/guardians are responsible for providing a suitable learning environment for the student.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1. All educational content, materials, e-books, videos, assessments, and games provided through our platform are the intellectual property of Cyber School or our licensors.

8.2. Students are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to access and use these materials for personal educational purposes only.

8.3. Copying, distributing, modifying, or sharing any content without written permission is strictly prohibited.

8.4. E-books are watermarked with the student's name and email for security purposes.

9. Cancellation and Refunds

9.1. Enrollment may be cancelled by providing written notice to Cyber School.

9.2. The registration fee is non-refundable.

9.3. Monthly fees are non-refundable once the month has commenced.

9.4. Annual payments may be refunded on a pro-rata basis for unused months, less an administration fee.

9.5. Cyber School reserves the right to terminate enrollment for breach of these terms, non-payment, or misconduct.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1. Cyber School provides educational services to the best of our ability but does not guarantee specific academic outcomes.

10.2. We are not liable for any technical issues, internet connectivity problems, or device failures that may affect access to our platform.

10.3. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the current subscription period.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

12. Changes to Terms

Cyber School reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated via email and/or posted on our website. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
